Semitronix officially became a Contributor Member of the "UCIe" Industry Alliance on 17 February 2023.
As a global leader in the EDA field, Semitronix will proactively collaborate with members in the alliance on the research and application of the next-generation UCIe technology standards and protocols, combining Semitronix' core advantages in the field of test chip design and yield analysis, to promote the advancement of process and technology development in the semiconductor industry.

In recent years, Chiplet technology has become the focus of the semiconductor industry. Compared with the traditional monolithic integration method, Chiplet has advantages and potential in many aspects, but this technology lacks unified technical interface standards, relevant EDA tools suite, and a sustainable ecosystem, thus facing many challenges. Upon joining as the UCIe Contributor member, Semitronix brings strong technical expertise in the field of manufacturing EDA and yield enhancement into the alliance.
After joining UCle, Semitronix will actively participate in the formulation of relevant standards and the development of supporting EDA tools, leveraging on Semitronix' technology ecosystem, to systematically promote the total yield enhancement solution for 3D heterogeneous integration, contributing to the industry's rapid progress.
ABOUT UCIe

Founded in March 2022, UCIe was jointly initiated by ten industry giants including Intel, AMD, Arm, Qualcomm, TSMC, Samsung, Google, Meta (Facebook), and Microsoft, aiming to define an open and interoperable Chiplet Ecosystem Standards. After the establishment of the alliance, the high-speed interconnection standard for universal Chiplets ("Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express", referred to as "UCIe", which is also the origin of the name of the alliance) was officially launched. At present, the members of the alliance include hundreds of important upstream and downstream enterprises in the field of integrated circuit design, manufacturing, and users, and it is the most influential industry organization in the chiplet field.
